2022 Proposed Projects

Constructing a storage building at the stadium benefits the District in three distinct ways.

  1. First, it will allow us to safely store all athletic equipment rather than leaving it outside, exposed to weather. This will extend the life of the equipment as we are needing to replace it sooner than we should. For example track hurdles cost approximately $130/hurdle and we have approximately 100 hurdles. Removing them from the elements drastically extends their life expectancy.

  2. Second, it will allow us to store all of the equipment in one organized location. For example, the high jump and pole vault mats currently have to be stored in an offsite storage facility as we currently do not have a place to put them.

  3. Third, it will allow us to eliminate all of the small, unsightly storage buildings around the High School and Stadium. Cleaning up the grounds not only looks better, it sets the stage for future projects to happen on the High School campus.
