2022 Proposed Project

Safety and security is always at the forefront of minds when discussing schools. While we do have security systems in place at each building they are becoming outdated. Not only do we need upgraded hardware equipment, the software needs an update. We have some areas in buildings that are not able to be seen by cameras. Installing a system district-wide will allow for compatibilty across campuses. We will also be able to organize the hardware and cables that can easily be seen currently.

CIS and CBMS have updated systems in which each classroom has a phone that also serves as an intercom. CES does not have phones in every classroom, but each room does have an intercom system that allows for two-way communication between the room and front office. These rooms have call buttons to initiate a call to the office.

CHS still uses the intercom system originally installed in the school. Most, but not all, rooms have a speaker for two-way communication, however, not every classroom has the ability to contact the office in the event of an emergency. These rooms have neither a phone nor a call button. We propose updating to a more current system that allows us to quickly and efficiently make contact between classrooms and the front office.
